8th Annual NSBA Mock Trial Invitational

The North Suburban Bar Association will be hosting our 8th Annual High School Mock Trial Invitational virtually on Thursday, February 4, 2021. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most high school mock trial tournaments for this school year have been cancelled. Many teams that had signed up for other tournaments had worked hard to prepare to compete, only to be disappointed. We at the NSBA don't want to turn any teams away! As one of the ONLY mock trial competitions that has not been cancelled, we have received an overwhelming response from high school teams from all around the state wishing to compete in our tournament. In keeping with our association's goals of advancing diversity, equity, and legal education, we asked for attorney volunteers to serve as evaluators (mock jurors) for two mock trials via Zoom and utilizing a mock trial software program for scoring and feedback. The software is straightforward, and an orientation session the week prior to the tournament to familiarize evaluators with this program has been arranged.
